4 Steps to Clear Internal Blocks and Grow Your Business With Ease
Last week, I introduced our Deeply Rested theme for May: Removing Obstacles and Finding Flow.
This month, I want to slow us down long enough to honor a part of the entrepreneurial journey that’s often overlooked—but deeply transformative: the inner work. The quiet, courageous work of removing the invisible obstacles that sit between you and the life and business you’re called to create.
In our May podcast episode, Nancy and I opened up about the four-step process we’re using to clear internal blocks and create more ease, alignment, and momentum this month.
Here’s a closer look at the process 👇
Step 1: Name the Obstacles in Your Way
Everything changes when you bring clarity to what’s actually holding you back.
Maybe it’s the fear that your idea isn’t good enough.
Maybe it’s scarcity telling you there’s never enough time, money, or support.
Or maybe it’s perfectionism feeding imposter syndrome and keeping you stuck in overthinking mode.
For me, the blocks I’m working with right now are limiting beliefs, financial fears, and old scarcity narratives—patterns that once kept me safe but no longer serve who I’m becoming. (I share more about this honestly and openly in the episode.)
This step asks for radical honesty. No bypassing. No sugarcoating. Just gently telling the truth about what you’re carrying.
Step 2: Share Your Obstacles With the Right Support
Inner blocks feel heavier when we try to carry them alone.
As we talked about in the episode, this work becomes lighter—and often faster—when we allow ourselves to be witnessed by someone we trust.
That said, choose your witness wisely.
Look for someone who:

Is doing their own inner work

Can hold space without rushing to fix or dismiss you

Isn’t threatened by your growth or success
Avoid sharing your fears with people who minimize, judge, or shut you down. You deserve support that feels steady, respectful, and encouraging.
Step 3: Tend to Your Healing With Intention
Once you’ve named your obstacles and allowed yourself to be seen, it’s time to actively loosen their grip.
Ask yourself:
What is one healing step I can take right now to soften this block in my mind, body, and spirit?
For Nancy, that step looks like meeting with a financial planner and compassionately facing her money fears.
For me, it means deepening my spiritual practice and choosing to anchor into intuition rather than the anxious stories of my mind.
Together, we even created a shared document—lovingly titled “Our Doubt Lives Here”—where we name the fears and scarcity thoughts that arise as we expand into bigger business visions (yes, including more retreats).
Clearing the path forward isn’t just strategic—it’s deeply personal, embodied, and soulful.
So ask yourself:
What kind of support would truly help you right now?
Therapy?
Spiritual practice?
Professional guidance?
Stronger boundaries?
More time in nature?
Choose the next clearest step. And begin.
Step 4: Commit to the Process, Not Perfection
Let’s be honest—you won’t unravel a lifetime of conditioning in a single month.
This work isn’t a checklist. It’s a practice.
Consistency matters more than speed. Patience matters more than pressure. Each small step you take creates more internal space, clarity, and flow over time.
And that time? It’s an investment that pays dividends far beyond your business.
