So, what is this money magnetism that Dr. Amanda teaches? It’s the natural, effortless attraction of wealth and opportunities by aligning your internal energy with your external desires.

"All things are manifested from your thoughts and your feelings. I call it your state of being," she states. "Whatever it is you're most predominantly thinking and feeling is what you're going to put out into the quantum field... and whatever you're predominantly thinking, consciously and unconsciously, is going to get attracted back to you. That's really what the Law of Attraction is about."

"Most people use affirmations incorrectly because they'll say something to themselves over and over... but they're saying things that trigger their subconscious to say, 'You're full of crap. That's not going to happen because you don't have it,'" Dr. Amanda explains.

If you affirm, "I am a six-figure business owner," while your bank account tells a different story, your brain creates resistance. This resistance is the primary blocker that stops you from manifesting what you want.

  • "I am currently manifesting being a six-figure business owner."

The 3-Step Manifestation Formula for Business Success

Dr. Amanda: Hello, so happy to be here. I really love the name of your podcast. When you said you're talking about spirituality being a version of luxury, I think that's brilliant. I think about business building in that way. You know, building a business is a spiritual process that leads you to a luxury lifestyle that you get to create.

Neeti Keswani: Well, that is the idea. That is basically the idea—the cusp of what we're trying to achieve: that if you want to have a luxurious life, then you need to have a spiritual mindset and vice versa. Because I don't think that if people have achieved their goals and they're not spiritually inclined, they can go a long way. You'll need a peaceful, happy mindset to go ahead on that line. What do you think?

Dr. Amanda: Yeah, absolutely. I always say your outer world is a reflection of your inner world. So if you don't like what you're getting on the outside, change what's within. So you're always going to be getting reflected back to you your mindset. So if you have an abundance mindset, which to me would be luxury, you then know that you have an internal connection to spirituality that's on that abundance side. Versus if you're in a scarcity mindset, your outer world's going to reflect back to poverty consciousness—things that are struggle-filled and strain-filled.

So, you know, that's how really how I think about everything in life. One of my favorite quotes is by Carl Jung. He says, "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." And that's really what we're talking about, right?

Neeti Keswani: So, tell us about your journey. You talk about building up a six-figure business in some of your articles and blogs. So how did you make that change? How did that pivot come into your life, and what was the strategy for you to do so?

Dr. Amanda: Yeah, you know, for me, it started… I was on food stamps and having a really hard time in broken relationships. I had kids, and I was in grad school, working my way through grad school and lots of personal fallout, and feeling really scared and stuck and victim-minded. I was on the floor crying one night, and I just said to myself, "I'm done with this. Like, this is not going to work." And I realized that I was the problem because in every scene that I was playing out over my life course, I realized I was in the center of it.

And so I made this commitment to myself: I'm willing to do whatever it takes to have better relationships and make more money. And interestingly, it led me to listening to podcasts because I was already learning a lot in university, and I was really busy. And so between my classes and driving my kids to school and doing the dishes, I was listening to podcasts. And it was amazing because I started to really change the way that I thought and felt, the way that I taught, and the way I started interacting with people.

One of the biggest things I noticed is that I started to feel more empowered and I started to feel more confident. This led me to decide to take the leap into coaching because the people that I was listening to on the podcast, they were coach-type people. And I had decided I didn't want to be in university anymore because there was a lot of stress, and I just didn't see the outcome being what I wanted it to be.

And so I took the leap and started coaching people, and in that first year, I went six figures in my business. Along that journey—now I'm in my sixth year business at the time of this recording—you know, there's been so many different spiral growth curves that have happened. For people listening, life is a journey of ups and downs, right? It's not always up; it's not always down. And if you can ride the wave and remember that when you're on the down, what it means is that you're evolving to the next evolution of yourself upward, right? So I love spirals for that reason because it's the picture of how we grow.

So for me, you know, I've evolved through five rebrands in my business and working with my now husband and so many growth edges. I think it's really easy for us to think that everybody who is successful just had this easygoing time, and I think sometimes we forget to look at the journey and how many twists and turns it takes to get there, and how important it is to stay dedicated to your why and your vision. So, you know, you asked me how I got where I am—the why is the first critical component, really being clear about what it is that you want to create in the world.

Neeti Keswani: So, you work with a lot of coaches and consultants, and you also talk about money magnetism. So, what is the primary problem that you think they are facing today in terms of getting clients? And how do you approach it? I mean, if you have to give a strategy using your way of doing things, how would you go about it?

Dr. Amanda: Yeah, first, you've really got to understand that all things are manifested from your thoughts and your feelings. I call it your state of being. So whatever it is you're most predominantly thinking and feeling is what you're going to put out into the quantum field. We're all living in like a lake of energy, let's say, and in that lake of energy, you're putting out a vibrational frequency. And whatever you're predominantly thinking, consciously and unconsciously, is going to get attracted back to you. That's really what the law of attraction is about; it's that simple. So if you want to get different results, you've got to change your energy.

So techniques like I use "affir-mantras." So in my book—they can get it at iamoneymagnetbook.com—I use affir-mantras. And the reason I labeled these this way is because most people use affirmations incorrectly. Because they'll say something to themselves over and over because they want something, right? We're affirming things that we want to be true. But they're saying things that trigger their subconscious to say, "You're full of crap. That's not going to happen because you don't have it." So if you if you had it, you wouldn't need to affirm it. But if you're affirming it and you don't believe it's possible, then you're actually creating resistance. And resistance is the number one reason we don't manifest what we want.

So it's really important to use affir-mantras in a way where you use a starter statement to get yourself to believe that it's true. This was a method that I used that was really powerful in starting to reprogram my mindset and attract business more easily—attract whatever it is that I wanted: my partner, my business, my house, money, clients.

So let's play with an affir-mantra starter statement. Instead of saying "I am blank," whatever it is that you're programming yourself for, you could say, "I prefer blank." So let's say that you want a six-figure business. Instead of saying, "I am a six-figure business owner," and if you're not, your brain instantly goes, "No, you're not. You don't know how to do that. You're full of crap." You know, you start this self-doubt cycle.

So instead, you'd say:

  • "I prefer to be a six-figure business owner."

  • "It would feel good to be a six-figure business owner."

  • "I'm ready to be a six-figure business owner."

  • "I can't wait to be..."

  • "I am currently manifesting being a six-figure business owner."

So you want to say statements that are 100% believable to your mind. So it's a really easy mindset switch for listeners to think about: "How could I reframe my thoughts to get what I want by telling myself statements that are 100% believable to both my conscious and subconscious mind?" And that's how you reprogram yourself when you say those on repeat, right?

Neeti Keswani: So basically, the words that you talk, the words that you say to yourself, are much more important than what you're telling the world? In terms of the way you're speaking, your inner language is much more important?

Dr. Amanda: Yeah, I would say both. The interesting thing is, what you tell the world is either—you're either pretending or you believe it to be true. The way you really know if you've subconsciously programmed yourself in an aligned way is if your action matches what you say. So your action is evidence of belief, right?

So remember, in a three-step manifestation formula, you first decide what you want with certainty and clarity. And then you take action in the direction. And then you let the opportunities come to you. And so if you decide what you want and you don't take action, you know that you have an unconscious block. Because if you decided what you want and you believed it was possible, you would automatically take action, right?

So, you know, we want to pay attention to: if you're saying to the world one thing, but you're not taking action on it, then you know that you have a block in there that's operating and keeping you stuck.

So in money magnetism, obviously, you want to let go of the money blocks. You want to let go of any of the resistance. So in order to create money magnetism, you want to say things that you believe to be true, take action on it, and then let opportunities come to you. And watch your money magnetism increase as the good things start happening. And then you reinforce yourself: "Oh, it is possible! I can do this!" And then it feels better and better, and so you get to go on that upward spiral growth curve.

Neeti Keswani: Right. So, so many entrepreneurs are struggling with these unconscious money blocks, and sometimes they're not even aware of it. But now that you rightly pointed out, this is a good way: if we are able to not take action on whatever we have thought that we want and whatever we feel that we should be having, and we're still not having it, and we're not taking action on it, definitely there's a block. But then, if I have identified those blocks, what steps should I take to overcome them?

Dr. Amanda: I use reframes. So I use a three-step re-programming formula. So it's called my "Inner Power Formula." So it's recognize, reframe, repeat to reprogram. So the only ways to reprogram your subconscious mind, which is what you're attracting to you through magnetism, is to reprogram yourself in your subconscious mind. So you can do this through repetition, or you can do it through a hypnotic state of meditation, you could do it… you could also do it through just repeating actions, through repeating beliefs, through repeating affir-mantras.

So if you're not getting what you want—let's say you recognize, "Wow, I say that I want to have a successful business or a successful relationship or a luxury life," let's say, "and I'm not getting it." Well, you've already recognized something is amiss, and "I must have a belief that is not helping me. I'm not taking action in that direction; I'm not manifesting what I want." So I've got to start to reframe my energy, my mindset, and my actions.

So a reframe could look like using affir-mantras. A reframe could look like taking a different action, right? Let's say you you say you want a luxury lifestyle, but every day you spend money on things that you don't really care about instead of building your wealth. And you're never going to get a luxury lifestyle when you don't build true wealth. And so you've got to recognize, "My habits are not aligned with what I say I want." And so you start to reframe your actions. And just little small things like tracking your money, right? That's a habit reframe that's going to help you understand how you're spending money, and what you track, you can optimize.

So, most people say they want more money. I can be in a room of a thousand people and say, "Who in here wants to be financially free?" 100% of the people will raise their hand. And then I could say, "Who is financially free?" 1 to 2%. Why is that? Because they want the thing, but they're not actually believing it's possible or taking action on it.

So then I can ask another question and say, "How many of you in here have read a money mindset book in the last month?" 1% raises their hand, 2% raises their hand. Well, why do you think you're going to be able to rebuild a mindset and a belief system and take actions to build your wealth if you're not doing anything to get that result?

So we have a lot of delusions about what we want. We think we want something, but we're not willing to do what it takes to have it. So when you are willing to do what it takes to have it, then you know subconsciously you're programmed for success, and then your success becomes inevitable. Does that make sense?

Neeti Keswani: Yes, it does. It does, definitely. So, for somebody who is wanting, you know, who has a startup—because a lot of our audiences are startup entrepreneurs—and they are wanting to attract lots of clients, lots of sales, what is the right mindset to start a business then, and to continue in the initial phases?

Dr. Amanda: Yeah, you know, I'd say for a startup, it's really important to have a plan. Especially for, let's say, heart-centered, spiritually-centered people, they tend to want to throw spaghetti at the wall and hope it sticks. Just—just because you're good at aligning your… well, let's say this: just because you want something and you know you can help people, and you're maybe good at helping people, that doesn't equate to money unless you have a business mindset. It can equate to a hobby; it can equate to helping a lot of people for free.

But if you want to build a business out of it, you've got to cultivate a business mindset. A business owner tracks; they know their key KPIs, their key performance indicators; they pay attention to client attraction, lead generation. So, you know, for the people listening, if you have a startup and you have a great idea and you're starting to want to help people, you've also got to decide to commit to being a powerful business owner. Because the difference is a hobby or a business. Are you a hobbyist, or do you want to own a business? A business owner does what it takes in the business habits to make sure that they can be successful to grow their spiritual practice or their service-based practice, right?

Neeti Keswani: So, in terms of the service-based businesses and the consultants, anything specific that they should be doing? Because these are the people who are very, very focused on the practical aspects of the business, which results in a lot of stress and burnout as well. And often people start off with a plan, with a practical plan of, you know, having lead generation, having such and such people in the business, such and such target audience. Those things are there, but I think they are missing something inside, which I have also felt because we are coaching on the wellness side of the businesses. But what I feel is that on the internal side, they're not very well coached. What would you bring to the table in terms of helping them out? Because you can see that the systems are in place and still no business. When you say they're not very well coached, do you mean internally their mindset is off, or do you mean that their strategies aren't aligned?

Dr. Amanda: Yeah, so again, I think it's so fascinating how we think that if we put a system in place, but we don't have the right energy or mindset behind it, that it should work. It's like saying, "I'm going to lose 20 lbs. after I'm going to go to the gym after I lose 20 lbs." That doesn't make sense; it's out of order, right? Same thing with your mindset. If you truly know that everything is manifested from your energy, then the first thing you do every day is align your energy before you take action. That's the key; it's that simple.

So, are you meditating in the morning? Are you journaling? Are you reading money mindset books? Are you focusing on money magnetism? Are you getting yourself aligned? What most business owners do is exactly what you're saying: they think they've got to work hard to get the result, and so they learn everything they can, and they keep tweaking all the systems, but they don't think about their energetic system.

And you can't build success in your life or business energetically. You can't get an outcome of freedom if you feel stressed out and overwhelmed. Those two energies don't match. So you must focus on a daily basis on first aligning your energy. And most people aren't willing to do this. I will say it's been interesting building the business that I've built, where I have a habits-based daily program to help people get aligned for success. They want the magic pill, and they're not going to get it because there is no such thing. You've got to decide and commit to daily growth work. You've got to decide and commit to aligning yourself daily. And most people—I would say most people don't really, truly want to do that. They want someone to give them a magic pill to grow their business. It doesn't exist. You're the magic pill.

Neeti Keswani: Right. So, in terms of, let's say, money blocks—now that I am in the business, I do realize that I have these kinds of money blocks. I do realize that I need to be focusing on my systems as well as on my internal mindset. How do I get over the fear and the doubt that comes with, you know, building a successful business, which might be there at every nook and corner? There could be so many challenges like that coming up. So when you coach somebody in this area, are you handholding for a period of a few months, or how do you go about it?

Dr. Amanda: Yes, so I have a daily program to help—let people hold their own hands. I hold them on audio, and then they come to group coaching every week. Because I believe when you know your why, the "how's" take care of themselves. People who ask for accountability, I already know that they're going to have a hard time because they're not accountable to themselves. Nothing in the outer world is going to hold you accountable to your vision; you've got to hold yourself accountable to your vision, right?

So, you know, I help people through the repetition piece so that they can start to discover their blocks within. So you need a guide—this is why coaching is so powerful—to have someone help you see what you can't see. But you've got to be willing and committed to put in the… like I said earlier, you've got to be committed to doing it. No one else is going to magically fix you; you've got to choose to fix yourself.

Neeti Keswani: Right, yeah. So, in terms of any examples that you'd like to share in this area, in terms of a client transformation where you know you've applied Law of Attraction principles and you've seen significant results in their business growth?

Dr. Amanda: Oh, sure, yeah. I mean, I've worked with people before where we write a money story and they've doubled their income in a week. I've worked with people who completely transform what they're doing on a professional level or change their career entirely, change their business entirely. I've helped people save their marriage; I've helped people lose weight. I mean, it's these principles that you apply work with anything because you're reprogramming yourself to get what you want.

So what happens is alignment when you do Law of Attraction-type coaching, where you break through those unconscious blocks, which are weirdly patterned for everybody and also unique—so they happen uniquely to each people—but then the blocks are very similar. So, you know, countless times I'll have people say to me, "How are you reading my mind?" And it's not that I'm specifically reading their mind; it's that I understand human behavior and universal principles. So it's really easy for me to hear what people say and see what they're doing and know their exact block and just go, "Well, here's your issue," right?

The difference is that now that they know this, what are they going to do with it? Because I can't do the work for them. I can show them the way; they've now got to choose to take the actions. And some people will, and some people won't. Some people say they want it, but they are actually not willing and committed to taking the daily strategic actions.

It's like if you hired a personal trainer and they showed you all the things you need to do to build your muscle. And so you've got the roadmap; you've got the rule book right there. But if you don't get up and go to the gym every day, that rule book is not going to do you any good.

Neeti Keswani: So, to overcome any such beliefs or such kind of mindset, apart from the affir-mantras that you are talking about, is there any other practice that you could suggest our viewers that they could go ahead and do?

Dr. Amanda: Absolutely. Journaling is really powerful, and meditation, I would say. So my program, every day I do a lesson, a journaling prompt, a meditation, and an affir-mantra because those are the main methods that I teach people. We do EFT tapping, so you can do tapping. There's… you really want to specifically focus on saturating your brain with new information that's going to uplevel you.

So, you know, all things confidence building, overcoming imposter syndrome, business mindset, money mindset… I obviously, because I am a Law of Attraction coach, I really like to focus on people reprogramming their mindset and their energy system. And so anything that gets you to be in a higher vibrational frequency.

And let's say a really simple action step for people: when they wake up in the morning and ask themselves—if they're just conscious enough to ask themselves—this is a recognition tool: "How do I feel right now?" That's all you need to do. "How do I feel right now?" If you feel stressed out and overwhelmed starting your day, that's how your day is going to end. That's how your week's going to end. That's how your month's going to end. That's how your year's going to end.

So if you notice and recognize that you feel that way, you've got a reframe. So what are you going to do right now to just reframe your energy just a little bit? So if you feel overwhelmed, what can you do right now to do one thing that causes you to feel peace and calm? That's why I like meditation and journaling and learning, because it immediately shifts your energy. Three deep breaths—I teach a three-deep-breath meditation that's very short to help people just shift their energy quickly.

And then you do that multiple times throughout the day. And you notice at the end of the day, "Oh, wow, I feel a little bit better than I did this morning." And then you do it again the next day, and then you feel a little bit better. And you go from feeling stuck and miserable and, you know, struggling to survive, to thriving—just like I did when I was on food stamps and went to six figures; just like I did when I had broken relationships and now I'm happily married. It didn't happen overnight; it happened through daily, conscious reprogramming. It's like one step at a time.

Neeti Keswani: And it has to be focused towards what you're trying to achieve.

Dr. Amanda: Yes, that's the key. You just nailed it right there. It's a choice and a choice to be focused. So you recommit daily. And that's why the why is so powerful. You've really got to know why you want this. Because most people, you know, they're… we're shortsighted. You know, the microwave mentality: it's like, "Oh, if I don't get results immediately, I quit." Well, okay, in 20 years from now, you will have a life that you don't love because you weren't willing to put in the reps.

Neeti Keswani: That's some important, amazing wisdom nuggets right there. So thank you so much for your time, Dr. Amanda.
